Here are two special events and an excellent prosperity idea.
1. Nancy Only, Spiritual Leader of Unity Church of the Redwoods in Eureka, held a highly successful World Day of Prayer prosperity event. For specifics, click here for a transcription of her email to Gina Scott outlining the event.
2. Upcoming Event #1: Regional Board and Key Leader event, April 23 (eve) and April 24 (all day). Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons will be presenting his "Strategies for Creating Thriving, Coherent and Integral Ministries". Please see the right sidebar for the combined brochure and registration form and register now for this ministry-changing event. This will be held at Christ Unity Church, Sacramento.
3. Upcoming Event #2: Prayer Chaplain Trainers Workshop: Register now for the Prayer Chaplain Trainers Workshop coming to our region in April. There will never be a better time to infuse your program with new energy, train new leadership, obtain the new material (published October 2005), or bring this powerful Prayer Chaplain Program to your ministry. Unity Center of Davis and Christ Unity of Sacramento invite you to this transformative BePeace Foundations Course!
We have a great opportunity to have Rita Marie Johnson from Costa Rica who founded the Rasur Foundation (also an ordained Unity Minister) and has now become a global voice for Peace and has been instrumental in establishing a Ministry of Peace in Costa Rica.
The Rasur Foundation was founded by Rita Marie Johnson, a U.S. citizen who went to Costa Rica in 1993 to help strengthen its national model of peace. As a result, a new “peace package” is now being implemented: a Ministry for Peace that collaborates with a national Academy for Peace, which trains peace teachers in the schools to teach the practice of BePeace in each community. This new government infrastructure, coupled with grassroots peace skills, is inspiring hope around the world as people realize that similar models could be replicated in their countries.
BePeace synergistically combines the intelligence of the heart and compassionate communication into a daily practice for creative, peaceful living. This practice evolved from the work of the Institute of HeartMath™ and the work of Marshall B. Rosenberg at the Center for Nonviolent Communication™. Rasur Foundation Founding Director, Rita Marie Johnson, realized the powerful synergy between these two methods and developed the practice of BePeace to combine coherence through appreciation and connection to universal needs through empathy and honesty.
The BePeace Foundations Course is a 40-hour experiential workshop in which participants use easy-to-learn techniques to master the power of heart wisdom through scientifically proven methods.

We encourage you to use this when promoting Asilomar 2010 to your congregations. The survey results for 2009 were the best in some time, and 2010 looks to be just as inspirational. Also, the Question and Answer document will be coming out soon to all who attended the 2009 Retreat, most likely over the Christmas holiday week. Thanks to those of you who responded to the survey!
